Chris has been involved with mining and individual prospecting for over 30 years, searching for gold and staking mining claims throughout the western United States. He has worked in the precious metals industry and holds a degree in Mine Engineering from the Mackey School of Mines in Reno, Nevada. He also serves as the Associate Editor of the ICMJ Prospecting and Mining Journal and has written extensively on prospecting for gold for many years.
He is the author of Fists Full of Gold, a complete guide to the art of prospecting, an easy to follow guide for both the novice and experienced miner to increase their understanding and improve their gold mining and prospecting skills.
Chris has also created a YouTube channel with over 60 videos that tackle a wide array of challenges that miners face, covering many topics like metal detecting, geology and mineral identification.
